Youth

Church School & Nursery

  • Church School is offered for children and youth aged 3 to 14. Our pre-teens and teens particpate in Sunday worship as readers.
  • Infant and toddler care to age 3 is provided each Sunday, in the nursery located adjacent to St. Andrew’s Hall.
  • Each December the Church School puts on a pageant, offering our children and youth to celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth through drama and music.
  • The Ghana Schools of Dreams is a mission and outreach project for our Church School, supporting education in rural Ghana.

Charlton Club for Youth

St. Paul’s is a partner of Central Presbyterian in the Charlton Club after-school program for youth in High School, Jr. High, and Grades 3-5. Charlton Club meets Wednesdays, 4:30-7:30 p.m., from October 12 to December 7, 2011 and from February 1 to March 7, 2012 and March 21 to April 25, 2012 at Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton Ave. W. (at Caroline).

Charlton Club is a Christian community in which we respect one another as beloved sons and daughters of God. Youth learn about Christian faith, how we might live it and how it can affect the world around us. They have the opportunity of meeting new friends, and discover that as Christian youth they are not alone after all!

Each evening consists of four parts:

1. Activity time – relax, play some casual sports or create some group art

2. Worship Skills – music, reading, drama for Sunday worship

3. Family time – we all sit down together for supper

4. Bible Study – a time to learn about Christian faith, ask questions and discuss how it connects to our life and to the world around us.

A fee of $100 covers meals and supplies for the entire school year, or $60 for those starting in the new year. We will try to arrange a ride with a volunteer driver if needed. For more information, please call the St. Paul’s Church Office, or the Charlton Club Coordinator, Adele Pierre, at Central.
